Are UK MPs Still Not Taking Risks Posed By Mobile Devices Seriously!
Lots in the news today about MPs and Senior Government Ministers being given warnings about the risks posed by mobile devices. Can you believe that MPs are STILL carrying phones into meetings?
Standard security advice for most commercial executives should be NOT to take a powered on mobile device into a meeting, unless you would find it acceptable for the content of that meeting to be heard by anyone outside of the meeting! Is this advice not being given to MPs and senior Government Ministers as standard? Are they being made aware but choosing to ignore this advice?
With recent revelations of Cabinet Ministers using personal devices inappropriately, it seems either their privacy protection advice is inadequate, or they are ignoring privacy protection briefings and choosing to place their personal and professional reputations and the privacy of the Nation at risk.
If the privacy protection advice and briefings they are being provided with aren’t adequate, perhaps they need to pay a visit to Verrimus TSCM Training Facility! 😉
